Locations:
Seagram Murals by Mark Rothko. Rothko Room at Tate Modern.
Room 2, By Polittico Garagnani [Garagnani Polyptych] by Gino Severini 1957.  Chiara and Francesco Carraro Collection. A Twentieth-century at Ca Pesaro, Venice.

I have chosen these loactions and this art from the collections due to the fact that both Rothko's and Severini's murals were originally intended for other locations but found their way into two notable contemporary art galleries and I feel that is befitting with my floor art piece because it's work that can potentially be displayed in any public realm and holds it's value and meaning.

The floor pieces in the still images are texts and symbols printed on vinyl which are then laid out over the existing wood flooring at Tate and Ca Pesaro.

Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction.
I know you are tired but come. This is the way.
Open your hands if you want to be held.
Absorbed in this world, you have made it your burden. Rise above this world. There is another vision.
Your way begins at the other side. Become the sky.
Be silent and practice the art of silence.
Look carefully around you and recognise the luminosity of souls. Sit beside those who draw you to that.
There is a voice that does not use words-Listen.
Let us join our hands, listen to every flutter of our heart. Let us become one in silence.
Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.
I want to know the joy of how you whisper.
Close your eyes, fall in love, stay there.
Wherever you stand be the soul of that place.
